Hi,

This can be a stupid question but can someone tell me whats the difference between these
three and what are they for please?

Quad PCI-E 6pin connectors ( Are they for Graphics cards)
Dual PCI-E 8pin connectors ( Do not know)
2 x 8-pin EPS12V connector

Now I might be off on this but I believe this is what the following are for:

Quad PCI-E 6pin connectors ( Are they for Graphics cards) – Correct, these are for the PCIe graphic cards, more information can be found here

Dual PCI-E 8pin connectors ( Do not know) – This one I’m not sure, possibly for the “next generation” of PCIe; I’ve heard of a few power supplies with this but haven’t seen any cards to take advantage of it.

2 x 8-pin EPS12V connector – This one is all about giving more power to your CPU, (I believe its mostly used in the Intel platform,) details can be found here

Fallen Out
