I have this connector pin that "lifted" off the pcb of the hd. If I touch the pin its loose and I think I need to solder it back on. The area to solder is really small and I was wondering if this is possible.

Im also wondering what kind of problems will I have if I run the hd with one of the connector pins not in place?

You need to find a pin out diagram and find out which pin is loose.

If its a signal pin then your probably not in luck.
If its just a ground pin then it may well run without it.
I've got a hard drive running minus one ground pin without any trouble yet.

Luck........:D
