When I leave my computer on for extended periods of time over night or when I leave the house, the internet connection seems to partially die. Some web pages don't load or take very, very long to do so. Even when no web pages load, my AIM still acts perfectly normal. It's an easy fix (reset router) but I wish I wouldn't have to do that.

Any Help?

sounds like a DNS problem.

next time find the IP of a site and connect first via the name (eg www.bbc.co.uk)

If it hangs then put in its IP 212.58.227.75 and see if that lets you in. If you are getting straight then it looks like some for of DNS error. I would first phone you ISP, second get your modem changed also look out for spyware hitting your ISPs DNS server, they do and will block traffic that looks to be acting like any sort of a relay.

little piece of shit....lol

sorry for large image

I have the same cable modem and it does the same thing on Roadrunner. I have tried various wireless routers and it makes no difference. I might just buy my own also...it could just be Time/Warners way of getting you to 'upgrade' to their higher bandwidth plan. This crap started about the same time they began offering the upgrade around here...lame.

Yup, same one.

I have the cox "Premier" package already. I used to have a different modem, but had to "upgrade" when we got this new service...

I would buy a new cable modem asap.
Im gonna buy one soon as i am really sick of my modem (the one you have) having connection problems
