Hi all
I inherited the following from a family member and am looking to connect to my htpc as a sound system:
2 each speakers: Sony SS-F7000
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...00_SS_F7000_4_Way_Floor_Standing_Speaker.html
stereo receiver: Sony STR-DH810

subwoofer: Sony SA-W2500
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SA-W2500-Performance-Subwoofer-Version/dp/B000OL3QTW
Yes these are older and considered mid range quality but I'm assuming they will whip the snot out of the speakers that came with my Blu-ray player. Would be used mostly for movies and occasionally some music. Room is 14 X 20
I will be the first to admit I am not an audiophile and have only a rudimentary idea as to how to proceed. I'm guessing I'll need a dedicated sound card, but which one would be best for around $100?
I would also like to add a center channel speaker- again nothing fancy, something that will do the job. Recommendations?
Any advice would be appreciated.
