When connecting multiple monitors do you have to use the ports just from one card, or can you also use the ports on your second card (if you have 2x from crossfire)

For eyefinity, or just for extended desktop.
 
In crossfire you can only connect to one card. If you don't crossfire the you can connect to both cards and I'm pretty sure you can still do eyefinity with one.
 
Didn't know that you can only connect them to one card in crossfire. Explains why one of my monitors wasn't working.
