Hello there guys

I want to know if there is a way to connect my Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS to an external A/V receiver without the front panel.

I mean coonecting my pc to a receiver throught the rear digital output of the audiocard with an optical digital cable.

Thank you

Yes.

Can't do it unless you buy a Coax to Optical adapter. ;)

Buy a cable with a 3.5mm (headphone-type) minijack on one end, and two RCA jacks on the other. Plug the 3.5mm into the main (front channels) output of the soundcard, and plug the RCA jacks into an input of your reciever. Bam. You're done. Forget about digital. For most people it's really not worth the hassle.

Nor does it do what they want it to. Games will not give you 5.1 through ANY digital link to a reciever, with the exception of nVidia's Soundstorm. Great for music and movies, if that's what you're into though- but you have some good DAC's on that ZS, might as well just go analog and get all of your channels and all of your quality all of the time on analog.
