Connect Powered by Samsung Harddrives

These connect brand boxes are all over ebay. I was wondering if they were true samsung hard drives and what the connect brand is for.

looks like some rather old drives, 2MB cache!? if you get them really cheap, they may be worth it, but otherwise...

I think they're made by Samsung and sold as a CompuUSA brand. iirc there was a very good rebate on them a few weeks back which is probably why they're showing up on ebay now.

Well I'm thinking about replacing my western digital 40gig with one of those 80gig connect brand drives purely to lessen the amount of noise coming from my system. If they are genuine samsung drives then I'll probably pick one up if I can.
