are the nvidia 4 series Titantium series better than the 5 series?
I mean it just seems like a lot of people I see online have a 4 series card
 
Not so much as they were beter but more cost effective than most of the FX series with certain exceptions. The GF4 4200, 4400 and 4600 were all DirectX 8 cards and performed very well at it. The FX line is supposed to be a DirectX 9 card but most perform poorly using DirectX 9 features.
