how exactly do u use this thing?

2. Select the Basic Power Scheme
select the basic mobo, this is very important as an AMD board without a +12V mobo connector (little 4 pin 2x2 connector or an inline 6 pin) or a P3 mobo will be powering the CPU off the +5V rail, whereas a modern board will be powering the CPU off the +12V rail
(P4 mobos and AMD boards with an Auxillary +12V mobo connector)

how exactly do i do this and what is that big text box for?

Its a java applet and your doesnt appear to be working

what browser are you using?
you might need to reload\upgrade your java run time environment

DOH Im an idiot says Internet Explorer right there on the Title Bar of the PIC you linked

OK Id recommend you use the latest JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
from Sun

actually Id recommend you stop using Internet Explorer altogether
an opinion Im not alone in
Penn State tell 80,000 students to dump IE

but simply upgrading the Runtime Environment should do the trick
we might need to review some of the default IE settings, its been awhile since i monkeyed with IE I use it only to access Microsoft, with Firefox (Windows) or Konqueror (Linux) for everything else

i downloaded that java from that same site only last week and it still seems to be the same version. went over to my desktop to access that site and same thing still came up.
after that, i took you advice and installed firefox and now it works

keep IE updated and patched,
there are a few sites still around that dont work well with firefox
(Microsoft, espn, msn ect) but they are getting fewer all the time
(they arent actually W3C compliant from what I gather and are biased towards IE on purpose)

youll definately need it to use Windows Update if your not doing that automatically
good luck with running the numbers for your config, feel free to ask any questions
or post the supplies your considering
