Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm having trouble deciphering which temp reading is the CPU's? I did some torture testing recently and I'm quite confused. Asus's CPU temps seem to be reported as a lot lower than other programs' reporting...
I would trust CoreTemp or RealTemp over ASUS temp monitoring from past experience with their software however these are probably all measuring the same thing (derived from the thermal diode on each core) just the first 2 are averaging CPU readings or taking the reading at a slightly different time. Also remember that at these very low (29.5C, 31C and 33C) temperatures Intel sensors are very inaccurate. Compare 100% full load temps not idle or low load. The Intel sensors are more accurate around 100C than 30C since at 100C thermal management must begin to kick in to prevent damage.
Edit: Wait a minute. You have more than 2 cores. I use CoreTemp more often then RealTemp..
You have 2 of your cores disabled in the bios or in Windows.
Core Temp and RealTemp read the peak core temperature. Asus reads temperature data from a differenet sensor, far away from the hottest spot on the core. When running a full load stress test like Prime95, the temperature that AI Suite II will show you is completely useless.
If your bios is OK, go into msconfig and make sure you have not limited your cores to 2.
You can also run CPU-Z. It will likely show 2 cores, 2 threads when it should be showing 4 cores, 4 threads.
How about post a screen shot of Core Temp, RealTemp and CPU-Z all on the same screen at the same time. RealTemp was showing that 2 of your 4 cores were disabled in that screen shot you posted. That is typically a Windows issue or it is how you have setup your bios.
In Windows 7, you need to run msconfig to open up the System Configuration utility. After that you click on the Boot tab and then on the Advanced options... button. You then need to make sure that Number of processors: is NOT checked.
I am not sure if Windows 8 has anything similar to this.
A screen shot with all 3 utility programs running at the same time will show if there is a problem or if the problem has been solved.
Have you updated the motherboard bios yet to the latest version?
