Config file for Halo?

I woud like to adjust FOV and remove weapon view. I cant find a cfg fie with the tinf.
 
Halo is one of the least customizable games I have ever played--the Combat Evolved version doesn't even have any cheats! The best change I was able to make to my config file was getting my 6800gt to use Antistropic filtering, but there's no way to remove weapon from FOV.

Unless someone knows something I don't, but I've tried something similar and I'm pretty sure it's impossible.
 
Not in the config file, there is a seperate program that lets you adjust fov in game, and lets you play third person if you like. To remove the weapon, you would have to swap the texture of the weapon with a clear shader. Also what do you mean least customizable? If it was so limiting, then how would some friends of mine make a Halo 2 mod so exact, they were given the front page on bungie.com for it?
