When I'm setting up F@H, the first thing it does is get an ID from stanford. After that, it allows you to set everything else (like username, team, and ...proxy settings). I can set F@H to work with a proxy for downloading/uploading WUs, but is there a way to make it work through a proxy to get its ID during initial config?

Well if you run ur web service through a proxy i would assume that F@H will also run that through the proxy.

a guess... not a good one

Maybe try the Network Subforum.

Console, right? It always gets the UserID after you've typed everything else in with -configonly for me...

Just a shot in the dark here, but if you use Internet Explorer settings, would that possibly resolve the proxy issues?

The problem is that when I do -configonly, the very first thing it does is try to contact Stanford to get an ID. It's before anything else--username, team#, proxy settings, everything.

EDIT: Whoops, my mistake. -configonly DOES allow you to configure a proxy before getting an ID. It still can't get through to Stanford to get an ID. Anybody know what a Status 407 means?
