I love this year's new releases that are in progress. I think I'm going to jump on the Ducky Shine 5, that RBG looks beautiful. Topre's new boards they are working on look fantastic as well. So many nice boards coming out over this next year.

I currently have a Ducky Mini Year of the Horse edition and am looking to upgrade to a larger keyboard.

Owned the Blackwidow in the past and I really loved that keyboard it was just too big for my desk. Well now I have a much larger desk so I can move back so a full size again.

I briefly owned the Corsair K65 RGB and really like that but had to get rid of it because it didn't work with one of my devices.

I think I will be moving to the K70 RGB next. I wanted something that also had some sort of wheel for adjusting the volume. I would love to find one with a Corsair sails logo version. I would also like to check out the Ducky Shine 5 RGB but not sure when that comes out.

I have the Corsair K70 "pre RGB" edition and I'm still thrilled with it. I can highly recommend those in whatever variant you want.

This is the kind of lineup that I expected to see last year! I'm eager to see more RGB mechanicals finally becoming available this way. I'm particularly interested in Cherry MX , Topre, and Omron RGBs; not so sure about Kalih and/or Alps. I hope all of these products are available for sale in the next month or so. I rather dislike how so many products are not released for months after making their debut at these tradeshows, making them feel out of date by their very release as a new trade show has just shown even more amazing stuff on the docket.

I'm curious, what device is that? if you don't mind me asking.

You won't be disappointed with the K70 RGB. If you liked the K65, you'd love the K70. The sails logo version are a little hard to find nowadays, but with a bit of luck, I'm sure that you'll find one of those out there.

It was a special adapter that would allow me to use keyboard and mouse on Xbox One or PS4. I've since sold my Xbone awhile ago as well as the device.

To be more specific its called the XIM and if you are in the market its an amazing adapter.

Kind of like this?

Yeah, I don't think our K70 is compatible with that kind of adapter. Very interesting though, it's probably worth exploring in the future, perhaps something that our HID components can benefit from.

It actually does work with our keyboards the problem is you have to switch it to BIOS mode which at that point it just displays all red keys as the default color scheme.

I see. I guess it's because the KB turns in to a basic Keyboard when you have the polling rate switch to BIOS, hence the lighting profile from CUE gets disabled and switches back to default.

Why did they switch from the sails to the other design? The sails are awesome! I am still rocking a regular K70 and it is the best keyboard I have ever used. My wife is even used to the clacking of the keys...

Glad to hear that you're loving the K70 :)

We had to combine our DIY and Gaming hardware into one entity rather than 2. To do that, we've decided to come up with a new logo that will represent both divisions henceforth. Corsair and Corsair Gaming will now be under a unified banner that is more aggressive than the old sails logo, and surely looks so much better than the previous crossed Scimitar Gaming logo.

From what I saw on various coverage of Computex it looks like the Shine 5 should launch in August. I will be watching for it over the next few weeks.

The K70, although I'm sure does a fine job, just doesn't quite do it for me considering the price tag - I'm not really a fan of the "frameless" design and even though the lightshow is neat, it just bleeds too much light to not be distracting for me. I just want to be able to set different keys to different colors, and being able to do that purely on the board without any extra software is a plus for me.

I also saw the optical switches, the thing that strikes me is the ability for the sensor to detect how far the key is pressed. So hopefully they can build a board that can customize how far the keys are pressed before they activate. I think it would be cool to be able to set a few keys to have a "hair trigger" for knifing or whatever. Pressure-sensitive inputs would also be doable, maybe by mapping the desired keys over to a controller input that could handle it like a joystick axis.
