Ok so the other week i turned on my pc and left it on i was watching tv and it just turned off. So i pressed the power switch to turn it on and it didnt turn on. I turned the power swith on my power supply and tried to turn it on, no cigar. i turned off the power switch on my power supply again and i left. After a couple of hours i turned the power supply switch on and press the power button on the tower and my pc started again. this has been happening. its not the plug or anything and i got a new power supply and it still does the same thing. Anyone have any idea and is there a fix.

it might help to know what type of video cards and cpu you have. also does your power outlet work for other devices connected to it? UPS? power strip? strange that the issue would recur with a different power supply.

ati radeon 4830 with amd kuma black edition oced to 3.2 but never any cooling problems and power strip just powers printer and pc. i was told it could be my mobo.

yes, it could be, but it could also be a power problem. how old is the wiring in your house? is the outlet properly grounded? have you considered a UPS?

i live in an apartment. i dont know what you mean by properly grouneded. but if it is a mobo problem is there any way to fix it.

What board is it? Does it have the latest BIOS? You could try another board. It sounds like if it were the board, it would not be something you could easily fix, unfortunately.
