Computer Wont Detect Hard drive!!!

Well I installed my harddrive from my old computer to this new one. Problem is my operating system doesnt detect that it is there. The bios detects it, its all on auto detect. This is really confusing do you think the software installed on my old hardrive is conflicting with the software on this new computer/ operating system? Please someone help!!
