I just installed a Radeon 9800 Pro into my system. It booted into windows fine, I installed the drivers, and when it rebooted, it would not boot at all. It simply hangs on a blank screen. I have the MSI D-Bracket attached to the mobo (has LEDs to indicate POST state, etc.) and it shows 4 red LEDs which indicates a broken or missing CPU.
However, I have tried the CPU in a different system, and it works fine. I also tried a different CPU in the same system, and I get the same problem. I also tried putting the old video card back in, and I get the same problem again.
Have I fried my motherboard? What else should I try?
