Computer will not power back up

I was forced to unplug my computer without shutting it off first, and now it will not power back up. Is it possible that the power supply is bad, or did I crash the motherboard.

I push the power button, and its as dead as a doornail

I read the sticky and tried everytyhing I am capable of trying and so far nothing has worked. I am also looking at the fact that this computer is well over 4 years old and has been running almost constantly from the day I took it out of the box. The heat sink over the Microprocessor was partially clogged with dust as well as the ventalation port in the back of the CPU.

With this all in mind I am alsmost certain that the PS is burned out. I cleaned everything I could possibly get to and changed the PS cable. The voltage is getting to the PS, but the entire system will do nothing. No lights come on, no fans run...nothing! This thing is about as dead as a corpse in a graveyard.

If it would as least try to power up, that would give me some leadway on what to look for, but this thing does absolutely nothing.


Any suggestions?

Thats my next step, only problem is finding one for this model
