So my computer sparatically turns off. Its weird. I turned it back to stock everything, and it still does it occasionally. It just shuts down. Whats weird about it is it seems to happen more often in MS excel than any other program. I have no idea why. I have an antec trueblue 480W PS, abit ic7-max3, 3Ghz, 1GB DDR, etc. I do have 5 HDs, 2x250GB SATA, 1x120GB, 2x60GB, all 7200 RPM.

hmmm... you have a good psu, but is it failing?

how are temps in your computer?

do you overclock?

checdk CPU temps, if the cpu temp protect feature is seeing your cpu get hot enough its shutting the computer off at that point which it was designed to do.

The Abit mobo reads 50C idle, 58C under load. Abits always read high....

I do have up-to-date AV protection.

I'll check the turn-off temp.
