So I built my uncle a computer for his work about a year ago and he is saying over the past 2 weeks the computer has randomly shut off a few times and would not come back on when hitting the power switch. He checked the wall outlet and plugs and everything seemed ok. He slid the computer back under the desk and it turned back on. I haven't gone to look at the computer yet but wanted to get your input. I'm leaning towards the power supply going bad. If not maybe the motherboard? He said all the fans are moving so there shouldn't be any overheating issues.

Specs are:
Fx6300
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
Thermaltake TR2 500w power supply.
8gb ddr3 1600

Let me know what you think. It's an hour drive to go look at the computer and I want to stop microcenter to pick up what I need to fix it.

Thanks.

Sometimes the problems is the power button of the case. If the fans still moving, could be a temperature problem. Or... poor contact of any cable.
