Computer to Plasma TV?

I have a 42" plasma Panasonic EDTV and I want to hook up my computer to it.

The tv does not have dvi or vga connector but it does have component and hdmi connectors.

My gigabyte x800xl video card has component outs, would it be better to connect that to the tv or should I look for a dvi to hdmi connector?

Do you have nice componet cables if so it can't hurt to try if you don't like the quality unkook it.
