Anyway I can make my computer less noisey.. I listened to my friends dell and its supper quiet, I would like my pc to be like that too. Any suggestions?

There are always ways to silence your computer, some more expensive than others, but what would really help is knowing what you currently have.

What CPU do you have and are you using the stock heatsink and fan?
What case do you have, does it contain a generic powersupply?
Also another big noise problem can come from your harddrives, what brand/model are they?
Some video card or north bridge fans can be quite loud if they are beginning to wear out.
So what videocard do you have?
Also does your case have any additional fans for intake or exhaust?

One thing to note is your cant go wrong with Zalman brand products when you your looking for silence.

The easiest way to reduce the noise is to figure out which fans are creating the most noise, be it CPU heatsink fan, PSU fan, Case fans, or all. Then replace them with quieter fans, or larger fans. Another alternative would be to get a fan controller, that would allow you to vary the speeds on the fans to make them quieter.

yes more info is needed about your setup.
I find that little rubber gromits for the screws that hold fans on to the case lowers noise.
Radio shack or your local hardware store should have them.
Look at the fans you have. look at buying lower speed fans or larger fans (as Erasmus stated)
clean your fans and your fan filters - as a dirty fan is noisier than a clean one.

I have an Intel Pentium 4 2.4ghz It has a heat sink then a fan over that , that is creating some noise it seems like.

I have a Case that I ordered online a while ago it came with an eagle power supply - 350w which seems to make some noise also.

Also an Exaust fan that sucks air from pentium 4 chip out which seems to cause some noise.

Not really sure it can be just the fan over the heatsink or the powersupply Im not really sure.

The fan controller suggestions a real good and cheap method for quieting down your fans. I just got one because the rear exhaust and side intake fan were WAY too loud (80mm fans, of course) and the fan controller fixed that problem! Just be sure to turn them up when you're gaming or doing any other graphics or CPU intensive work!

actually no. at least not for me. i just bought a sunbeam rheobus, then got ALL 4 of my 80mm fans (max is only 3000rpm) tuned down to 7 volts, and its still making a quite annoying noise. that was until i stuffed it in my closet. haha, now its probably quite close to a dell. oh and i find that the only thing making a noise after tuning the fans down are my dual psu fans.

oh and never trust ur friend's "dell" comp. they have like 1 case fan! thats why you never oc on a dell, cause then you fry ur chip.
