Computer starts, stops, and starts again - Help needed

Hi guys,

So the build is:

Asus P8P67 Deluxe
Intel i5 2500k
8GB Ripjaws X
XFX 6970
TX 850v2

The situation is when I try to boot, the components start up, the CPU led comes on and everything shuts down after a second or two. 2-3 second pause followed by everything starting up again with the CPU led and no visibility on the monitor. And the computer will continue to run no restarts until I turn the computer off. Also, there are no beeps coming from the mobo

Any tips or advice to see what the culprit is?

I've tried putting the ram into different slots, I went to 4 GB, I checked the pins for the processor and none were bent and I'm just plum out of ideas.

Have you connected all the power supply cables to the mobo?

take a pic of mobo and PSU if you don't know.
 
I had a similar problem and the solution was that I didn't connect one of the PSU connectors to the mobo

Not it unfortunately, I had the power going into that plug. Thanks for the suggestion though!
 
Just to give this topic some closure. I got a replacement board from Amazon, threw the processor into the board and it's running with no issues. Original board was DOA

Usually, if it doesn't boot up at all, it's the motherboard. Once in a blue moon, it's the processor.
 
Asus kept trying to convince me that it was the processor or the PSU :p I didn't have another board to test the processor so all I could do was ask for an exchange for both
