Computer speaker cable extension cord

I'm looking to get a 12ft extension cord for my Altec Lansing speakers, but I don't know if the connector is 3.5mm or 2.5mm. I'm guessing the connector is 2.5mm. However, I'd rather have someone else's opinion before ordering the cable.

2.5 is like the output on a cell phone.. 3.5 is what you need.
