ok! my only problem is when im playing game like doom3 in 3-5min of game play the screen turns black. The game did not freezes cause i can still hear it in the background and also in counter-strike the game closes it self within a few minute of game play. Plus when i multi-task with lots of program on, i get the blue screen error. wanna know if this is cause by the power supply?

here is my spec to see if the power supply can support my hardware
PSU
350W ATX
+3.5 @ 24A
+5 @ 35A
+12 @ 12A

P4 3.0ghz(prescott socket 478)
MSI PT880 Neo-LSR (motherboard)
1GB (512x2) PC3200 (geil ram)
ATI Radeon 9600PRO 128MB
250GB 7200RPM (Maxtor)
PX-704A (Plextor DVDR)
52X CD-Rom (future power)
5.1 Sound Card Live (Creative)

Type in your spec here to see if it is more or less OK....

If it prove to be OK, you must start looking at the error messages.
Exactly which error message you got ?

If you think it may be cooling, take off covers and put 220V fan at PC....PSU output also drops if heated up ..

12a on the +12v is anemic for that system. Your CPU is easily gobbling all that up itself and wanting more, leaving nothing for your GPU/HDs

Use that link to the calc, and then go over to the sticky about buying a new PSU and for the love of your hardware get a new one!

i have tested another psu
PSU
400W ATX
+3.3V @ 15A
+5V @ 30A
+12V @ 15A
but still get the same problem.

i have just switch my new 250gb harddrive with my old 80gb(thinking it was hd problem), reinstall windows and i still get these error. I just bought these hardware (mis pt800 neo-lsr, p4 3.0E ghz, and 250gb hd) the other hardware in my computer came from my old one and i had no problem with it. right now i dunno if its the motherboard or the power supplys with the error im getting. here are some pics.

if its psu problem and i was wonder if this psu is the best to support my system specs

I would tend to think your Grafics Card is experiencing a problem, or it is suffocating.

What is the exact error message you got: The details, and if, which file it implies ?

Cooling: Just open the case and cool it with 220V fan ?

no i dont think its the graphic card, because its pull from my old computer and was working good, never have any problem with it. right now im not sure if its the motherboard or the power supply, but most people i take to said its the psu and its not compatible with p4 prescott. the prescott draw more power than what the +12 @ 12a and +12 @ 15a rail can pump out.

error messages i get can be found here

yeah i did everything, update the lastest sp1 and all the other security programs and i still get those random error. i even switch harddrive, thinking it was hd, but no luck, then i re-formatted my drive and did a fresh installation and the same error pops up. I updated my motherboard bio but still have no luck. i do not have any idea in fixing it, if doing a fresh installation of window dont work, then im out of idea, but to think its hardware(motherboard or power supply) failure.

Quite possibly the reason he is getting disk errors is because not enough power is being supplied to it. Again i'd suggest a new power supply even if he wasn't having problems, just for longevity sake. That Enermax power supply you linked is nice, but for that price i'd get a Fortron 530.

Corruption 101
and power is right up there with the leading causes ;)

rule out the thermal solution, and the memory
but from the config, and the supply's specs
Id say you have your leading suspect already ;)

I am also looking for a 530W PSU. Which is just simply the highest quality money can buy, price no matter....ATX12V-P4
