computer problem, kinda big.

i dont know how to help you, but i thought i would keep the thread alive to attract more people for help
 
Is the system in your signature the same one you are having problems with? it sounds to me that the bios was screwy from the start. if you feel up to it, a new motherboard can be had for budget $50 or less, or nice for $100 or less. If you really want to keep that existing one, you could try to contact shuttle about purchasing a new bios chip, and replacing it by hand. that would be a straightforward operation.

and just to be sure, this system is out of warranty?
 
if I didn't miss your previous thread - I'd suggest flashing BIOS - I once had a similar problem and flashing BIOS did the trick..
 
pull out all cards except for video, and one stick of good memory. Then disconnect all connectors to your mobo except for power, and power on switch, and fans, reset bios, then see if it posts. you know that if you reset bios by moving the jumper over then turning on the power it is bad for the board right? you have to move the jumper, move it back, then turn on power. if you did the former maybe thats why its not posting,
