computer overheats at night

ok this is kinda a complicated thing, i live in a college dorm room and i have a secretary where i have my computer and at night i like to lock it up to keep the room dark and make sure nobady fucks with my stuff, now the problem is this secratary has no real ventalation other than a power cord whole in the back of it, so during the night massive ammount of heat is building up, and it has been causing my computer to restart when i encode DivX or anything at fullload,

this really sucks any ideas on how i could remedy this?
