I just installed an AMD 2400+ mobile processor into my epox 8kha+ motherboard, and it's telling me that I have an AMD k7 and it's running at 800mhz. I flashed the bios, still the same. Am i forgetting to do something?

Set the Jumpers on the board for FSB? Maybe increase it to stock for that chip? Clear the CMOS and remove the battery?

Would say make your your FSB is set at the right mhz, maybe auto. Clear Bios

Yeah check the the FSB. I had the same problem when I upgraded from a 1900+ to the 3000+. I changed the FSB to 166 from 133 and it fixed the problem.
