I plugged my speaker into the front and rear audio port and for some reason my computer is not showing that they are plugged in. It worked fine for months then all of a sudden they stopped working. What do you guys think may be wrong with my comp?

If you can get sound out of them, don't worry about it. If you can't (as i'm assuming here), it may be time for a new sound card. But, to be fair (and for us to help), we need some information about your computer and sound system.

try updating the drivers for the sound card

also, are you overclocking? the onboard sound does not work on my shuttle when i OC.

Go to your system properties (or even your manual) and see what it says is the onboard sound card is. Then you can go from there.

Ok i found the correct driver and now my audio is working. Thanks for the help guys. I was just trying to dl the wrong one. I'm such a retard.
