Hey guys, building a new gaming computer, and reusing as many parts as I had before to build the new one.

I have the hard drives, dvd-rw drive, a 700 watt PSU, 2 GB ddr2 ram, and a standard tower case (not exactly sure what model it is, but I'll figure it out.

What I need is:

1. a new motherboard
2. a new CPU

and I'm hoping to get both for under $250.

These will be paired with an 8800GT (of course).

Any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance!

If you don't need RAID, Gigabyte DS3L is an awesome board. If you do want RAID, maybe the Abit IP 35 or IP 35 pro.

For CPU, you can get the E2140, E2160, or E2180, and OC easily to 3GHz+. If not OC'ing, maybe just a E6750 or the Q6600 but that'll put you over the $250 mark.
