my computer wont boot,what happens is when i turn on,the 1 case fan i have lights up,and the heatsink fan too,but then sounds like PSU dies,but i still see power green light on case,this all happened after i went to launch HL2,i have been playing fine,but i did recently use a tool named nvhardpage21 for overclocking geforce fx5200,i chose detect optimal frequencies,and it went from core 250 to 284,and then from 400 memory to 474,and i did switch it back to the option no overclocking as i had my results for my testing the overclock whether i got more fps,so anyways after back to no overclocking,i got on a lil later launched game and system just went off,then when i went to power back on,case fan and stuff comes on for slight second,then sounds like dies,and a weird humming buzzing sound,and the green power light stays on,then i power it off or pull plug and hear a winding down noise,does this whether i have monitor on graphix card or not.


messed up thing about this is,this was gonna be a server pc,as my new pc is arriving tomorrow or tuesday from newegg. Athlon 64 +2800,1gig pc3200 ddr,new case etc etc..damn sux,i must get to the bottom of it,i need to fix!!!

any help,responses etc,would be truly appreciated.
how does one reset bios?if possible?
 
unplug all cards except video and one stick of ram. then uplug all connections to the mobo except power, and power switch, and cpu fan. then reset bios, and try to boot. if that doesnt work, try in this order:

1. different PSU
2. different video card
3. different ram
4. different mobo
5. different cpu
 
i know what it means but what are the specifics?,anyways im waiting to get some more feedback,thanx again in advance.
 
damn wierd,it was the PSU,damn it to hell,i dont have the cash to buy a new one,hopefully a friend will help,and as always,thanx everyone who responded
