Im sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I seem to be having a very irritating problem wiht my computer randomly glitching (little .5 seconds freezes so often). Sometimes its constant sometimes it not. Has anyone every had a problem like this before? Could it be a virus possibly?

Thx in advance.

Specs:
AMD 2500+ o/c 2Ghz
ASUS A7N8X Dlx v2.0
corsair memory pc3200 2x 256
gf4 mx440
220gb of hd space
Windows xp pro sp1

If needed anymore info please ask.....

What peripherals do you have plugged into it?

Try running with just the bare bones and see if the issue is still there. by BB I mean monitor, video card, CPU, MOBO, PSU, Memory, Keyboard, Mouse. pull all other cards/printers/USB stuff off of it. the NICs are onboard, but you can disable them in network properties.

If that solves it then use a process of elimination to determine the culprit
