Went to disk management to see if it was there and there is not any new space. i picked it up used from someone else for cheap. 60gb ocz II

i have it plugged into the navy blue bottom sata 6gb/s port on my p8p67 motherboard.

thanks for the help guys!

boot into BIOS and see if the drive is listed.
try different ports and different cable too.

60GB OCZ drive? Decent chance it's dead :(

Swap the cables from your main drive over to the new drive just to see if it shows up in the BIOS.

do these have a rep of going bad? i know the cables are fine so ill try a different port next. it definitely isnt showing up in bios.

I have a dead OCZ upstairs, that is the only SSD that has failed me in the 4 years I have been using SSD's.
And ya, that brand has a bad rep for failure.

When I right-clicked "My Computer" a new SSD wasn't showing up. Went & read a few articles about NTFS, FAT32 and drive letters... Don't really feel I learned much however, long story short I decided to test a program called "Fat32 Format" which was able to find my SSD & format it. Then I was able to remove my HDD then put an OS on the SSD.
