I have a team of people working on a computer destruction entaintment website. I was on here to see if anyone would find funny to see unique demonstrations of computers and being destroyed. Such as a monitor slung in the air by a trebuchet while bursting into flams falling down into a 150 feet deep abandoned gravel pit. Let me know. Thanks!
 
It might just be a matter of lacking a Y-gene, but I don't derive any satisfaction from seeing equipment being destroyed.
 
If you can capture the magic in "Office Space" then I'de say you've succeded.
 
It depends.
No matter how crappy your equipment may be, if it's working I'm sure there is someone who can use it.

Now if it's broken, have at it! Provided you clean up your mess and not go blasting leaded glass all over the place. :eek:

We actually don't care about if it works or not. Its the fact that some computers are annoying slow pieces of crap. Thats where we come in. We help relieve the stress of day to day use of these crappy computers that still exist out there in many businesses, schools, ect. We are here to conquer this world! As far as cleaning up? you mean give the junky pc's the satifaction of a funeral? You think they might uprise and attack back if we dont? LOL! Thanks for the replys. Keep em coming?

We will see about that. We want to do things in a safe manor and legally while maintaining the funny factor. We will have very unique ideas, created by us and inspired by all of you. There will be a forum where you can post your ideas and it is possible there will be a section in the site where you can send us your junk and we trash it n e way you want, or you can post your video. Keep the ideas coming.

get some good Led Zepplin or Metallica in there, maybe...

i say go for it!! i enjoy destroying equipment so much! for those who say it doesnt amuse you, have you ever taken a sledgehammer or thermite to a computer? now that is fun... :D plastic explosives are also quite entertaining...

i think i might take some more equipment down to the firing pit in a few months.. nothing like roasting marshmellows over a fiery motherboard... :eek:
 
Something about an 80s dot matrix printer being destroyed is funny.
Something about a Geforce 6800 Ultra being destroyed is pathetic and sad.

I say it all depends on what you're destroying. If you have extra high end hardware that you're willing to destroy, you should give it away to someone.
 
I guess as long as it is old crap that nobody cares about/would bother ot use it is funny.

By the way, what does this have to do with displays? (well, I guess it would be a random display of violence... not sure if that was what the forum name intended though ;) ).

Um.... no... I put it in display's because the funniest computer part you can distroy is a monitor.....

I'm just referring to something that happened a while ago where a certain website decided it'd be a good idea to destroy a 6800 Ultra.
 
At my office there is a letter folding machine (folds flyers en masse into thirds etc.), and i kid you not the damn thing sounds like a screaming woman at about 100 feet. (nokidding i came out from the back room to see if everyone was okay the first time i heard it)

To see this device met with a sledgehammer, while making this horrific noise, and hearing 'er wind down in that agony of defeat would absolutely make my day.
