I am trying to find a new desk for my 2 19" crt setup. I am ghetto rigging my current desk and just moved into a new apartment with style, so i need to get out the ghetto. I am looking at this desk here from IKEA:
http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/...=11516&langId=-1&parentCats=10121*10389*10393

I am looking for a very deep desk with alot of space for a tablet, speakers, sketching area, etc. Any other links would be appreciated.

IKEA <3 Is the way to go.
However, I actually do have my own set up which I made myself out of entirely wood and painted on with some high gloss black color. The desk is very large, still leaves plenty of space to do homework with two or three textbooks wide or some blueprinting. Costs were cheap (30-45-ish dollars). My dad paid for them so I wouldn't know. And don't underestimate the price-- the wood is damn sturdy and can hold two monitors as I can prove:

Sorry if it's dark-- at least it's something.

I dont know if their are any custom desks for 2 monitors but most l shaped desks are pretty big and should be able to handle 2 monitors, speakers a printer and other junk you have.

thats a great idea, i might have to make something if IKEA shipping is too much...
Since i do like a good distance between me and my monitors, most desks are too shallow, but this ikea desk seems to be perfect. thanks for the help

I gota recommend the Jerker!

The pictures dont do it justice, its a HUGE desk, espically if you get some of the accesories. I have mine setup so one of the small shelfs is about 6 inches above the main desktop, giving me a place to hide my keyboard when i need deskspace. It can easly hold 2 19" monitors. Another great plus is its adjustable, and you can custom fit it to you. If you want ill post some pics of mine when i get home to give you a better idea of what all you could do with it, Also search Jerker on Google and you will find a page dedicated to these great desks

yea i saw that Jerker when I went to ikea! That thing rocks! I just ordered it instead of the other desk! thanks

I've got a 3-screen setup on this desk called "Anton" or something like that from Ikea. It bows a bit in the middle w/ a 21" + 2x 19" CRTs on it. It's just a regular looking desk, though it does have a (worthless) keyboard drawer.
It's about 6' long and has plenty of room for 3 screens. As far as the depth problem goes, I just pull it out from the wall a bit & let the screens hang off the back.

That's expensive for a desk on sticks!

Another vote for the Jerker! Its absolutely huge and well made for the price! Make sure you get the radial arm accessory! I use it for my Sager Laptop. Also, if you have the height make sure to get the extra shelf!

There are plenty of holes drilled, so most pieces can be mounted at any height you choose. I'd send a picture but currently lack hosting.

I am using a custom made desk that was designed for old school video editing.

The jerker is only 4 feet wide...thats not huge imo. But it does have good depth at almost 3 feet.

Recent thread I posted in about computer tables where someone was looking at the Galant, so I'll just quote it here. Delltron, I know you said you already ordered the Jerker, but I'll just throw this out again for anyone considering it.

When my husband was looking for a bigger desk not that long ago, he ended up buying a 6' conference room table for ~$300. He added a 3M articulated keyboard tray and just loves the setup.

It's somewhat similar to this but with more rounded corners (I think it was made by Sauder as well). It's 36" wide at the center. His old desk had sagged from the weight of the comp (it's a 14-bay server case) and a huge monitor.

This thing is industrial strength! But what I like about it is that it looks like a fine piece of furniture and not like something cheesy. And you can get conference room tables in different lengths, so there's probably one that would fit your needs.

Anyway, just throwing out another option for you to consider. :)
