I am looking for a desk for my computer... I want it to be a single surface desk with key board mouse and monitor all on one level. I want one thats well made price is not an issue I just want one well made, and I cant find one where I live. Anyone know of anywhere online I can get a nice desk?

I know this is not in the right place... but there are more people here and theres no proper section for this post.

What about a wood shop that can custom build you one? A nicely built real wood desk will end up nicer than the pressboard stuff, and you can get it to your exact specifications.

yeah thats the thing i was thinking of.... but thats gona take a long time to build and i just wanted somthing pre built hopefully for gaming if i could find one.....

Global makes some nice quality furniture. They have some desk shells that are a straight flat topped desk like you're looking for.

Personally I am and would suggest making your own!! But that is if is going to be a simple, unless you have some know how and tools!!

if you build your own you may or may not find that it is cheaper than going out and buying one that costs $200 $300 for only a 2 foot 3 foot secion!!

hope that kind of helps

My desk:

-2 random pieces of funiture, relatively the same height
-2 six foot 2x4"s
-1 6'x3'x3/8" piece of crappy plywood
-1 6'x3'x1/4" piece of nice plywood
-3 24x36x1/16" pieces of white HDPE

Assemble 2x4s and plywood with drywall screws, place on top of furniture, place HDPE on top, done.

Can you post a picture. I like the whole idea of making furniture out of furniture. :)

The Ikea Jerker posted above, really big, flat, super solid and tons of room underneath. I have 2 of em side by side.
