I've just recently built a system but for some reason I've been having minor setbacks, mainly in the graphics department.
Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
1024 mb ram pc3200 (400mhz)
Pentium Motherboard 1m L2 Cache
Nvidia 6600 GT OC *overclocked* 128mb
Sound Blaster Audigy2 Value
Asus DVD Rom
Asus CD Burner 52x24x52x

All the latest drivers are installed and it was formatted and built from the ground up.

Now, With this system, I should be able to have wicked (or pretty damn good) graphics and what not, but for whatever reason that I can't seem to understand, whenever I'm playing games and such its choppy as hell, like I've got a gf 2mx in there instead of the 6600. I'm wondering if this is a hardware compatibility problem, or if there is something wrong with the video card?? I've come to the one place I know has more information on hardware then any where else on the web. Hope someone can help me out, its driving me nuts.

does it run all crappy becuase maybe you overclocked it ? how did it run on stock ?

what motherboard do you have ? does it have intergrated graphics on it ? if so did you disable them ?

reinstall drivers -
double check your card for heatsink not touching (be careful - hold card by edges - no where bear the heatsink/gpu - as there is no protective shield around the gpu to prevent damage from pressure on the heatsink...
NOTE: Reinstall Direct X after installing creative drivers... I have seen this cause issues in the past that sound liek the one you have now...
