I am trying to make a gaming/everyday use computer. I want some input on the parts I have and what could be better and maybe save me some money.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
For Gaming and Web browsing. Im going to use it at college to do whatever I need.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
with tax and shipping I want to stay under $1500 but I mainly want it $1300 or under.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, GPU, Motherboard, Ram, Power supply, ssd, hdd, monitor, cooling.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
I dont want gigabyte I hear bad things about them.
6) Will you be overclocking? not anytime soon
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it? doesn't matter
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? within 2 months
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3. SATA 6Gb/s, this doesnt really matter cause all the new motherboards have it.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
yea 64bit Windows 7 pro.


I have a Consair Carbide Series Black 300R case already.
Parts I plan to get.
i5 4670K 3.4
Asrock extreme 6 z87
Sandisk ssd 64GB. (I only want a small ssd to run windows off of it)
(those 3 items i can get at microcenter for $393.27 after tax)
Western digital 1TB Black-around $80
Consair vengeance 8gb (2x4gb sticks) - around $69
Consair hydro 60 water cooling.-around $60
GTX 760TI (im waiting for it to come out) Im guessing it'll be at most $320
asus Us229hp monitor -$140
2x cooler master sickle flow 120mm fans for my case - 15
Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W- $90 ( im open for suggestions i want a PSU that will be more than enough just to be safe. and I mainly want it 80 plus gold. but i dont want to spend a lot on it.)

Can anyone help. im open for all suggestions.

Well the SSD is a poor choice: Unless that Sandisk is like $40 or less, it's not worth it considering that the larger, faster, non-Sandforce (biggest reason not to go with the Sandisk) and arguably better quality Samsung 840 120GB SSD can be had for $100.
$99 - Samsung 840 120GB SSD

The RAM is a bit overpriced for what it is considering that you can get similarily performing RAM for less:
$47 - Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM

Hell get two of the above Crucial RAM and you would be able to get twice as much RAM as that Corsair set for only $25 more.

well for the corsair ram at the time when i found it on amazon it was 69 i just checked today and it was only $63.
Also isn't it better to have two sticks than one?

Even at $63 it's still overpriced for only 8GB of total RAM. Danny's suggestion costs you $31 more than your original RAM choice, but you get 16GB total of RAM (running in dual-channel mode) at that $94 price.

In addition, that 8GB kit will not allow you to upgrade to the full 32GB maximum (should you need that much RAM) unless you end up throwing away the memory that you are going to buy now. Besides, there is only a 3 percent increase in real-world performance in most apps (including games) with dual-channel over single-channel on a modern Intel system (due to the efficient memory controller on Intel CPUs).
