1440 x 900 (WXGA+) Resolution, 19". Would like to upgrade this in the future. Computer comes first will most likely go with a 22" model.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Sometime between now and Christmas. I'd prefer around the thanksgiving time frame, but can wait till christmas if needed.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I'm not doing anything crazy so i'd really say USB 3.0, nice to have that option.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, Vista ( :( ) 64 bit

Preferred brands:
Coolmaster, ASUS, Intel, NVIDIA.
If there is a store to pick up parts in the area like compucenter etc, doing good deals no problem picking up some things.
 
TBH, spending $1,000 on a gaming computer only to hook it up to a 1440x900 monitor is a crime. :( I think you'd be much happier spending $150-200 on a nicer monitor, $100 on a copy of Windows 7, and spending $700-750 on the computer itself. $700 can buy a very capable gaming computer.

Do you want to drive 45 minutes one way to the Microcenter in Madison Heights? I ask as they have some good deals on relevant components. Possibly worth the gas and your time if it's your sole destination; definitely worth it if you might already be up in that neck of metro Detroit.

Please come back when you're actually 1-2 weeks away from buying parts for the PC. It really doesn't help you that much to plan a build this far in advance, especially if you're unsure about your actual purchase period.
 
My purchase period isn't unclear. I was attempting to leave room for sales. I know companies like tigerdirect etc do black friday sales. I was also told from the person that recommended me to this site that haven't been very promising as of lately. So I guess I was attempting to see if you had more feedback on that given the dates include. If that's the time frame I should come back and repost in I'd be more than happy to do so. I just do not want the misunderstanding of I'm not sure when I will be able to purchase this project.

On the side note, driving the 45minutes isn't a big deal to me. It is doable.
 
Yes, there has been some good sales at TigerDirect lately.

There was a i5 3570k for $180 shipped
and there was an i3 2100 for $80 shipped.

Currently there is a 1.5TB Seagate drive for $70-$20 rebate = $50. I'd suggest buying one of those.

If you want to buy, you have to watch the sales frequently and know what's a good price.

128GB Crucial M4 or Samsung 830 ssd is a good price at $80 or less.
256GB and you shouldn't pay more than $160.

Radeon 7850 2GB is on sale for $142 at newegg, today is the last day.
That's a good price for a 7850, which would be more than enough for 1440x900 or even pretty good for 1920x1080.
RAM is nearly always cheap at 8GB DDR3 1600 for <$40.

a decent PSU can be had for $40-$50 after rebate.

The bottom line is that you have to be flexible in what you want. You also have to deal with rebates (usually).
