With the video card installed my computer won't display anything, but it still boots like normal. Without the video card it's fine. Any idea why?

Specs:
Asus m2a-vm hdmi
AMD 8450
XFX ATI 4670
4GB DDR2 value ram
330W seasonic psu

With the video card installed the computer beeps once(POST) and then boots into Windows. But the monitor won't display anything and just blinks like there's no signal. I've tried connecting VGA, DVI, a second display, and I've tried connecting to the motherboard directly and the video card, but nothing works. I haven't tried the video card's HDMI port because I don't have a cable, but that's about it.

(If I push the power button right after booting it up, it'll shut down in <1s. But if I wait for it to boot all the way and then push the power button it takes about 15s to shutdown, like it normally would in Windows. So it just won't display.)

I took the video card out and the computer works fine. I just bought the video card, new in box, from a local retail store. Any idea why it'd be causing this to happen? I've had a 5770 connected to this motherboard before and it worked fine, so I don't know why a 4670 would be giving it trouble.

Just put the video card back in and it works fine now. Tried updating the BIOS(updater in Windows said it worked. BIOS said it failed and reverted to default when I rebooted). But now it works, so w/e.

sometimes you have to re-seat cards to get them to work. other times you could just be unlucky and get a doa card. most of the time, things work (at least they do for me, lol).
you see? posting in Hardforum does help :D
lol
