I have a computer that works and all, but sometimes out of the blue it just blacksout. what could be causing this to happen?

Thx, Catsonar

PS: In order to turn it back on the switch on the power supply must be turned off then on, for her to boot up again. What going on.

this isn't hooked up to the internet, it's my kids comp( for school, educational programs, casual games that don't demand hardly any video power). thx for yor help though.

Could be dust buildup creating high temps in the case itself or dust in the UPS tripping the internal breaker...either way sounds like the power supply.

LISTEN TO ME IT HAPPENED TO ME TOO

What it is, it is the sound. go to windows update and download all of the sound updates under devices. when you install them it will stop the random blackout/restarts.
