Compusa power

do you have to buy from compusa? lol... are u ordering online or instore? that psu looks cheapo depo BTW and is way overpriced :)

Whenever possible DO NOT EVER buy ANYTHING with the Startech brand on it.

That's the "generic" you get when you buy from enterprise wholesalers like TD, D&H and Ingram and EVERYTHING some dumb ass at my work place has ever bought with the Startech name on it, whether it's a switch, hub, USB card, whatever.. has had some kind of problems.

Go to their website and they don't even know the specs of their own power supply!!!!

EDIT: Here.. This should tell you teh suck....

DC OUTPUT:

+3.3V: 30A
+5V : 40A
+12V : 18A
-5V : 1A
-12V : 1A
+5V : 2.5A

Whoa, Johnny- remain calm. I picked up some StarTech SATA cables, and a few "Y" adapters when a local shop cleared them, and they've been good. :p Who makes the StarTech supplies anyway? I would swear they look familiar.

Probably made by ATNG, they also make most Coolmax's, not too bad, but not good either.

After looking around, they do look alot like the ATNG's. Thanks for the reminder. They would probably power an Athlon XP or older Pentium decently, but their 12v rails are a bit low to run 64's or P4's.
