I recently got an interview with CompUSA and I was wondering what I should do/bring when I get there. How is the interview like and what are they looking for?
 
My suggestion- Be honest. If you don't know something, or are lacking an ability, tell them that you're willing to learn it. Employers like hearing that you're willing to learn.
 
I mean, where ever you apply, they're going to ask different questions from person to person. You can't know everything, and that's okay. Just be fine with admitting that you're not sure of something, answer all the questions as well and succinctly as you can, and remember not to ramble. ;)

P.S. It's okay to be nervous. I'm sure your interviewer will understand.
 
Technical abilities aside, mention something like a commitment to customer service. That'd give you something that probably others in that position would make you stand out...of course....you'd have to deliver :D
 
From my experience with compusa employees, if you have a decient middle school education, and speak english well enough to communicate with another humanbeing you should get the job.
 
If you look ok in a red polo shirt and can figure out that the computer is not the same as the monitor, you're probably fine.

Just don't say something like "I hope to learn what a computer is while working here." Because
a) you probably won't
b) if you don't know, you shouldn't apply (Unless you say you're willing to work for min wage)

Oh, and wear a shirt and tie. That should be a given, but too many people show up for an interview all "Decked" out in "nice" jeans and a polo shirt. Always wear at least a shirt and tie, nice slacks and good shoes. They say you only get one chance to make a first impression (unless you're in a movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore) so make it a good one.
