Is there one?
Reason why I need one is I bought a HD PVR to record some video games(xbox360). Currently I play my xbox on my hp LCD via the MS vga cable. Well I'm still looking to play on my lcd and record. So now it would be xbox>HD PVR>LCD

The HD PVR only has component out and my lcd only has vga and dvi.

*MOST* LCD VGA inputs will accept a directly adapted (using a VGA-->component adaptor cable) Component signal.

I know my U2311h will, but only after scouring [H] a bit for the info (ironically, in the u2311h thread).

Search for more info about your exact model, or model family, for help on this.

Your idea will work - just not in all cases.

On my Dell monitor there is an option for YPbCr or RGB. Might be other monitors like that too.

Ok well I've been searching around and I'm thinking that because my lcd is so old that It wont accept the component signal.

My Monitor btw is a HPw19e

There is an old adapter for the original xbox that was to go from component to vga. You might be able to find it on ebay. I'm not sure if anything else like it is made. There is this, I don't know if it will work though.
