Hi folks,
I am building a new machine and I was wondering what you all would recommend. Here are the specs that I have currently in mind:
ANTEC Silver Aluminum Performance 1 Series ATX Mid-Tower Case NEC 16X Double Layer DVD±RW Drive, Silver, Model ND-3500A S, OEM
SONY Silver 16X DVD-ROM Drive, Model DDU1621, OEM Drive Only
Alps Silver 3.5inch Floppy Disk Drive, Model DF354H168F, OEM
Seagate 160GB Barracuda 7200.7 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model ST3160023AS
Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200 - OEM
MSI "K8N Neo2 Platinum" NVIDIA nForce3 ULTRA Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU -RETAIL
Antec 480W Power Supply with Blue LED Fan, Model "TRUE480BLUE" -RETAIL
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor Socket 939 Retail 90nm
CHAINTECH 7.1 Channel PCI Sound Card, Model "AV-710" -RETAIL
Local Best Buy has BFG 6800 GT
My dilema is I read about these nforce4 boards that are due out and wonder if it would be worthwhile to wait on that or go ahead with the nforce3 board. This machine will primarily be used for gaming. I don't want to wait too awefully long. Does anyone know an how long until nforce4 will be available to the public and whether it would be worth waiting for? Anyhow, any other suggestions on any of the other components would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any input.
