Hey guys.... ok so for desktops and most monitors its easy, pretty much same power cord for everything. Now getting to the other computer devices.

I have an IdeaCentre A600, lost power cord from client. PC is still in great shape, and wanna give it to someone to use. I see some on eBay for $50+, seems kinda high but obviously last resort. I see some for cheaper for some other IdeaCentre series, like 700 and 500, etc.... Also have some laptop power cords.

I know some of these are rarely compatible so

1. Can I actually just try to plug them in and test or will that blow something that will be pretty much irreparable (non-cost effective)
2. Is there a way to tell just by looking at the power adapter specs on the unit to know? Some have very limited info on there.
3. Are all adapters from the same family compatible? (Like the one I mentioned above)
