My friend has a Tyan 9600pro, on which the stock fan died a few weeks ago. After much grief getting a replacement fan from Tyan, he's given up! I've got an x800xl graphics card and have just changed the stock cooler to a Zalman VF700-cu.

My question is whether my spare stock x800xl cooler will fit his 9600pro card or will he have to go out and buy a replacement?
 
The X800XL 13-fin fan AC design is way too different for the 9600. The 9600's fan is plain and normal, weak too. He should purchase the Zalman heatsink you're getting and have him overclock his card crazy too lol.
 
Thought giving him my old cooler would be be too easy! I'll recommend him the zalman cooler,,,,, or maybe tell him to just upgrade his graphics card!
