I'm about to place an order on this graphic card, but my instincts tell me to double check some things first. I was wondering if this graphic card shown below is compatible with this motherboard. Thanks!

It says that mother board has a slot for the PCI E x16, but I'm worried because in the graphic card, the interface does not match with the motherboards. Thanks once again

Not true. The VC is a PCI-E and the motherboard has a PCI-E connector. You may be confused by the locking clip at the back of the board. I'm not sure what makes you say this. Anyway, except for the 7900GS not being Top Of The Line, it will function at its best with this motherboard.

Having DDR3 capability could pay off in a good performance boost in the future when memory is available AND affordable.

Best of luck...

Gotcha, so it does fit...great. I went ahead and circled the part that was confusing me

As you can see it doesn't stick out as far as the parts with the actual bronze colored contacts on it. It just hangs out, not doing anything. It sits in front of the slot and doesn't contact the board in anyway.

I'm not sure why cards have this but it's likely that it's part of the manufacturing process for a reason. It's either that or it's there to help "grab" the front part of the slot a little bit so the front of the card doesn't pivot out.

Thanks. I'm debating whether or not get this. The fact that it's Directx9 makes me double think purchasing this product.

well just to give you some feedback. Last month I bought a XFX 7900 GS XXX Edition and am mostly happy with it. The x1950 pro has 36 pixel shaders and the x1950xt has 48 pixel shaders vs 20 on the 7900 gs models. If could go back I would have spent another $40 and got the x1950 xt instead.

Of course you should make sure that your psu is strong enough for these cards.

GL!
