Ok i realize this is a newbish question but here goes - i have an ASUS A8N-SLI mobo and 2 nvidia geforce ultras on the way, and since i dont know my hand from the back of my ass in computers im not sure if the interface is compatible with the mobo (agp 8x) and only now realized that the mb is PCI-E. does this mean i shot myself in the foot or will agp work on pci as well ? also is there anything extra i need to purchase in order to utilize both cards in sli mode (connect the two..?)

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Any SLI mobo will have two PCI-e slots on it. If you bought 2 AGP Ultras, yes you have shot yourself in the foot. AGP cards will not work in a PCI-e motherboard. If the Ultras are PCI-e and both from the same manufacturer, you're going to be fine.

Yep, your stupidity has screwed you over. Man, I wish I had that kind of money to just piss down the toilet >.<

harsh. He is just new. although SLI is a big project to jump into for a someone that doesn't know a "my hand fromt he back of my ass in computers". Looks like an RMA or a new FS listing is on the way.

well, it looks like i am screwed. luckily i ony decided to buy one. and yeah i will be selling it, lol. and thanks for the helpful input monkey, ya ass

Why did you say you have 2 on the way then?

cz i did when i posted the orig mes. but then i called and cancelled the order on the one card before it was processed

Sometimes you can send it back without a restocking fee as long as you don't open the package. Or if you got a good deal you might make money on it in eBay but don't count on it. Good Luck!
