I just saw this comparision chart in which they were comparing latest Intel Dual Core Processors with latest AMD Dual Cores.

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_9485_13041^13042,00.html

I was really shocked after going through this specifications Holy Smoke!!! Is it really true? Or is it a way their marketing trick to prove that Intel's inferiority over AMD? But If its true then I am surprised that they have overplayed intel in each and every department

That doesn't compare Intel's latest processors.

That's a comparison between AMD's X2's and Intel's last generation Pentium D. Intel's Current gen is Core 2 Duo. That's marketing for you!

Thats a TABLE comparing the specs of the X2 to Intel's OLDer Pentium D.

I just saw a "Great" chart which compares the X2 to the Core2Duo....

check it out:

P.S. Why does snoop dog always a carry an umbrella?

for drizzle my nizzle!

Since AMD is too busy to update the chart, I did it for them: :D

(if AMD is going to make a blanket statement about chipsets without mentioning the frustrating "with BIOS support" disclaimer, i'll list Intel and non-Intel chipsets that also work with Conroe... I forgot to add Xpress200 on the Intel side, which also works)

The funny thing is how lousy of metrics AMD choose to show Athlon X2 superiority. Even the Core 2 loses in most of the items above, but still kicks around AMD's best easily. What can you expect from marketing?

And the restricted "Processor to System Bandwidth" wording was chosen to limit any benefit Intel's chipset memory hub may add. I tried to leave the chart above as misleading as AMD intended, just updated with Core 2 specs.

Thats cool, so why does'nt intel start implementing full duplex FSB as well as 3D multimedia??
