I've recently acquired 3 p3 compaq xeon servers, two prolian 5500's and a ml570 G1.

The problem I'm working on right now is the proliant ml570 G1. I've got 12x18gig 10k scsi drives in it and I'm trying to configure a raid 5 array of 10 drives for the system, however, I can't seem to find a way to do this. I've followed the manual and attempted to use the smartstart cd from compaq that should have the array configuration utility. The utility however finds no valid controller. The drives are recognized on post without issues as working so the controller is working correctly. I'm looking to configure the array outside of an operating system because freebsd does not have a supported util for working with the array in an OS.

Does anyone have any experience with the ml570 G1 servers and the array configuration utility?
